Where are you from?
i am of course from many places - i don't stop to wonder much. nor about where i am going. where i am at the moment however - now this is of perpetual wonder ...
What is your interest in The Future is On the Table?
i am rekindling, regrowing, reallowing, recovering ... myself as a performer after 20 years performing merely as one of the ways to to engage people in their own learning, creativity and personal adventures. i am interested in everything about The Future is On The Table: the metaphors, the processes, the artists, the art, the artmaking, the audiences, the discoveries, the questions, and the real, realised, imagined, surprised, interrupted possibilities that flow through ~ from ~ to this s/place

As I was getting lost in your website, I thought of the similarities between what you are doing and what RSC is doing at ROOTS! Get it?
ROOTS stands for Regional Organization Of Theater South. It concerns mostly performing artists from the South Eastern part of the US dedicated to social change, social justice, racial integration. Started 35 years ago, its credentials can be checked on the website WWW.ALTERNATEROOTS.ORG

RSC stands for Resources for Social Change. And this is where your activities meet theirs. RSC develops programs, methods, manuals and finds contracts with schools, groups, non-profits ... interested in promoting social change. Check them out!

What interests me most in all this is the implication that the role of art is not "confinable" and that of artists is infinite, multiform, often unexpected, never exhausted, and so on! This idea of a temp. agency for the arts brings humor and vindication to our daily practice.
