These videos are beautiful and also funny - I like the way the stools move around on the ice, and the precariousness of their situation on the water...
I just placed the stools in one of the rain water collectors that I have installed on the terrace of my garden. The transferred sound is quiet weird....not like the original sound of falling rain. Don't put it too loud!
This installation deals with the impact of collected rain water on our daily life, material as well as subjective; it evolves at the pace of a four season cycle. The results will be part of TROPICAL ICE, the new project which follows from TABLE OF ICE and which we develop for Charleston and its tropical climate in the wider context of global warming, knowing that some suburbs of this port city have already lost several rows of streets as a consequence of the rise of water, and that it is regularly subjected to violent atmospheric disorders.
